NINE FLAT SIX, stunning newly designed Transparent GTS Top replacement Porsche 911 Targa's is made with extremely light and highly stable carbon (CFRP) for the frame, Makrolon with glass-hard anti-scratch coating on both sides, stainless steel fasteners with Teflon bushings, and modern EPDM seals, the newly designed Top delivers a high-tech glass roof for your Classic Porsche 911 Targa.
This transparent Targa roof design is only offered exclusively with NINE FLAT SIX, its available for all G Body 911 and 964 Targa models from 1967-1994. This new top weighs approx. 2kg lighter than the original folding and its horrible factory design, The biggest weakness of the Porsche 911 Targa roof is its foldability. The use of soft elements, which are pulled upwards and away from the seal by the enormous wind forces behind the windscreen, and the influence of heat deform the roof. This leads to the aforementioned leaks and wind noise, which unfortunately spoils the Porsche 911 Targa driving experience, making this iconic G body design unwanted for such a long time. With this solution building a rigid, stiff roof without a folding option is the right way from the start. This enabled us to construct a stable and tight roof that retains the Porsche 911 Targa driving experience and feeling even with the roof closed and air sealed.
The material selection for the GTS Transparent Top was specially adapted to the basic requirements of high safety and rigidity. The frame is made of very light and ultra-rigid carbon-fiber composite (CFRP), which makes it highly resistant to breakage.
This Porsche 911 Targa GTS Top is already very light due to the use of cast magnesium which is approx. 2 kg lighter, which makes it even easier for you to mount and dismount on your own.
